I have not forgotten our wonderful trek and would very much like to have another go at bear hunting but sadly we cannot come out in 1982. so perhaps we can in 1983.

She is a very good friend and we were discussing Kashmir the after day and she is very keen to visit your beautiful country.
Please could you send details of your trekking and houseboats to a Scottish friend of mine.

Thank you for your letter of the 13th May. I did reply to your last letter enclosing many photographs of our trek last august but I see it never arrived. Sadly, I never received your programs concerning your treks and houseboat accommodation. Seriously, the post office is at fault. Please would you send me the details of your treks, accommodation etc. and also send to a friend of ours.

Thank you and your family for the beautiful stay. My friends and I had on the ‘New Colombo’.
Our photographs of you holding a carry have worked very well. I will send you a copy of the magazine it will be printed. This will be in December.
I have heard of the disturbances these have been in Srinagar since I Left. I do hope you and your family have not suffered. Although I was only Kashmir for a short time. It will always be in my mind.
My wife is expecting our first child in two months’ time. So in a few years I will return to Kashmir for a long period and bring them with me.

Thank you for your letter of 28th January from which I am surprised to learn that you did not receive me earlier letter to you in early December.
However, we notified you of two groups coming there earlier this month but because the Pakistan border has been closed they have had to stop in Lahore and then go by air from there.
Our next tours start from here in August 1974 and will be coming there in October 1974. We will notify the dates to you later on because these and subject to change for many reasons.
I have not forgotten the 12 piece se which we will sent and if there is anything else. I can help with please let me know.

I have lived on the houseboat known as the new Golden Fleece for period of a month and a half and have found the service on this boat to be the best. I have received in the valley of Kashmir.
The bearer known as Gulam Nabi is Beond compare as far as his cheerfulness and willingness to serve sometimes under adverse.
In general it has been a pleasure to live on the New Golden fleece for the period that I have.
